Is a Raptor a good first ATV?

Generally no. A big-bore sport ATV with a clutch is a lot of machine for a new rider. If you’re new to ATVs, talk to us about starting with something more manageable.

Who can ride a Raptor 700R SE in Virginia?

Virginia limits riders under 16 to ATVs of 90cc or less, so this is an adult machine. Every rider must wear an approved helmet, and ATVs aren’t allowed on public roads except to cross one by the most direct route.

Can I carry a passenger?

Not legally. Virginia prohibits passengers on an ATV unless it’s designed and equipped for more than one rider, and this one is built for one. If you want to ride two-up, look at the MAX version.
