What’s new for 2027

Can-Am simplified the Outlander PRO lineup for 2027. The base model is now the PRO S, a new PRO DPS adds power steering, and the PRO XT replaces the Hunting Edition, with MAX versions of the DPS and XT. Every PRO now comes with fender flares, handguards, footwell protectors and a hitch ball mount standard.

The XT adds a 3,500-lb winch, the Visco-4Lok front differential, aluminum wheels with Trail King tires and a USB charger. If you’d add a winch anyway, the XT is the better buy.

HD5 or HD7?

HD7 has the more powerful of the two work-calibrated engines, up to 50 hp. It’s the better pick if you tow heavy loads, work on hills or carry a passenger on a MAX. HD5 saves money for lighter chores on gentler ground.

Who can ride a Outlander MAX PRO XT HD7 in Virginia?

Virginia limits riders under 16 to ATVs of 90cc or less, so this is an adult machine. Every rider must wear an approved helmet, and ATVs aren’t allowed on public roads except to cross one by the most direct route.

Can I carry a passenger?
